All you need is your library card to access these databases from home:

  • Mergent Online: Mergent Online offers information on 11,000 U.S. public companies and 17,000 non-U.S. public companies. Included are detailed company histories, business descriptions and financial statements.
  • Morningstar Investment Research Center: This reliable financial research tool is now available online.  Designed as a tool for investors, it is also an excellent place to get brief information on many major companies.
  • NetAdvantage (Standards & Poors):  Powerful searching and screening tools to facilitate academic research, job searches, case studies, competitive intelligence, strategic planning, due diligence and M&A activities.
  • Value Line: Value Line provides investors with the most accurate and independently created research information available, in any format they choose.  The program teaches investors how to use it effectively to help meet their financial objectives.

The most Poe-etic artifact in the collection dedicated to a man best known for the macabre? Perhaps this framed lock of hair from both Poe and his young wife, Virginia Clemm Poe.

All day we are highlighting our Light Street Branch, located at 1251 Light Street. In the heart of Federal Hill just blocks from the Cross Street Market, the Light Street Branch serves South Baltimore communities including Federal Hill, Locust Point, Otterbein, and Sharp-Leadenhall.
