The Summer Challenge is Back

This June the weather is heating up but so is the competition! The Pratt’s annual program, Summer Challenge, returns June 12 to August 14 at all Pratt Libraries. This year’s theme is A Universe of Stories.

Don’t miss out on the chance to win prizes, while exploring the joy of reading. The free program is a great way for students to avoid the “summer slide”, the loss of academic skills during summer vacation. The program is open to all ages! Kids, teens, and adults can participate so go ahead and sign up the family.

D-Day 75th Anniversary: WWII Books

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944, often referred to as D-Day. The prolific day in history was the starting point for the liberation of Nazi-occupied Europe during World War II. Did you know that D-Day was the largest joint military operation ever undertaken?

The Enoch Pratt Free Library is proud to be celebrating one year being fine-free. We’re celebrating with Customer Appreciation Day on Monday, June 3!

Stop by your neighborhood Pratt Library branch anytime throughout the day to join in on the fun. Enjoy snacks in the morning and the evening, and giveaways while supplies last. Have you misplaced your Pratt Library card? Not too worry, replacement fees for lost cards will be waived during the entire day. All you would need to do is visit the circulation desk for details and get your replacement card.

The cards allows you to access to so much that the Pratt has to offer with books, music (Did you know we have vinyl records? 😍) and more in our catalog. There’s plenty of eBooks and eAudiobooks available to download in Overdrive, RBdigital, and Hoopla.
