Happy New Year! Not sure what to read or watch first in 2023? The Pratt has you covered! Here’s a look at some of the most checked out items from 2022. Make sure to add them to you TBR list for this year.
Digital materials saw a massive spike this past year. Our patrons took full advantage of the library’s extensive catalog of e-books, audiobooks, and digital periodicals. From home improvement guides to tech journals, the non-fiction digital downloads revealed a community eager to learn new skills and navigate an increasingly complex digital world.
Consumer technology and digital literacy were particularly popular subjects in our e-magazine collections. Readers frequently accessed consumer advocacy guides to stay informed on a variety of digital topics, whether they were researching how to protect personal data on social media, looking for the best online casinos, or comparing the costs of new subscription streaming services. Keeping up with the rapidly changing landscape of digital entertainment clearly remained a priority for many of our adult patrons.
Of course, traditional fiction continued to dominate our physical circulation. Psychological thrillers and historical fiction held the top spots for hardcover checkouts, proving that nothing quite beats the feeling of getting lost in a good story during the winter months. Let’s dive into the specific titles that kept our community reading all year long.
